Installing and Configuring AdminStudio

Workstation Setup

The following screens walk you through the installation of AdminStudio professional, the installation of AdminStudio on to the client is pretty straightforward but screenshots have been included for completeness.

Launch the AdminStudio Installer, the following dialog will be displayed

Click Install

Click Yes - to install the InstallShield IDE

This step only appears in AdminStudio 8.6 or newer

Click Next > to start InstallShield 2008* installation

Accept license agreement - Click Next >

AdminStudio Setup Dialog 6

Select Runtime Language - Click Next >

AdminStudio Setup Dialog 7

Select Typical Install - Click Next >

AdminStudio Setup Dialog 8

Click Install

Click Finish

This completes the installation of InstallShield and returns to the AdminStudio installer

Click Next >

Select license agreement - Click Next >

AdminStudio Setup Dialog 15

Enter User and Organisation name - Click Next >

AdminStudio Setup Dialog 16

Click Next >

Click Change...

Enter the UNC path to the AdminStudio Share

Select Client-Only

Click Next >

AdminStudio Setup Dialog 21

Click Install

Click Finish

Click Yes to restart computer

Once the workstation has restarted the InstallShield Editor templates can be created
