Installing and Configuring AdminStudio
Configure IDE Options
The following screens will configure some of the options available in the Editor and Tuner, these settings are not definitive but are what I tend to use.
From the Tools menu select Options
Click the File Locations tab
Enter the path to Packages folder within the shared AdminStudio Folder.
Click the File View tab
Select Version
Click the Merge Modules tab
Enter the path to Local Merge Modules and the path to the Merge Modules folder within the shared AdminStudio Folder, separate the paths with a comma.
Click the Directory tab
Select Show INSTALLDIR, Select Clean unused directories.
Click the Validation tab
Select Perform validation using:
Select Full MSI Validation Suite
Click the Preferences tab
Select Windows Installer Self-Registration table(SelfReg)
Click OK
Launch the InstallShield Tuner.
From the Tools menu select Options
Enter the path to Packages folder within the shared AdminStudio Folder.
Click OK
To complete the AdminStudio configuration some ini files can to be edited
